Rice-coconut Kheer:

I love Rice-coconut Kheer. To make this kheer we will boil rice with milk in pressure cooker then will cook boiled rice with reduced milk and sugar. At last will put cardamom and  dry fruits and shredded coconut. It is mouth watering kheer. I hope you will love this dilicious Rice- coconut kheer.


 ¼ cup rice

3 cups milk

1 Tin of condensed milk 


For Garnishing

3 green cardamoms make a powder of cardamom and keep it side.

¼ cup dry coconut grated(you can skip if you want plan kheer or if you don’t like coconut)

1 table spoon almonds chopped

2 table spoon raisins.

1 tablespoon cashew nuts chopped

Cooking method:

  1. To make this mouthwaterin Rice- coconut kheer, first of all we will wash rice and then will soak it in the water for 15 minutes.
  2. Next put soaked rice in the pressure, add 1 cup milk and cook on high heat till one whistle. Lower the heat cook on low heat for 3 minutes. Remove from the heat. Let it release its pressure naturally.
  3. Mash rice little bit using spatula. Add 1 Tin of condense milk, 2 cups regular milk and let it cook on medium to low heat for 10 minutes. Keep stirring in between. Add cardamom powder cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from the heat.
  4. At last Add dry fruits and transfer in a serving bowl..

Delicious Rice-coconut Kheer is ready to serve. Serve hot or cold.

Note: Adding coconut makes its amazing dessert!

    You have not mentioned when to add the coconut.
    I think for kheer one should not use pressure cooker..you may boil in a regular pan after soaking the rice.
